The Coquitlam Express are ready to get into the Christmas spirit with the announcement of their five games in the month of December.
The Express will open the month with a doubleheader on the first weekend, first December 2nd when the Langley Rivermen are at the Train Station for 12 Whistles of Giveaways. For the first 12 whistles, a prize will be given out in the crowd to a lucky fan.
On December 3rd the Express will be playing their annual game in the City of Port Coquitlam against the Surrey Eagles, last year this game sold out and is expected to be another busy one.
Let the Teddy Bears fly!! On December 9th, it’s the annual Teddy Bear Toss Night against the Victoria Grizzlies. Fans are asked to bring Teddy Bears to the game and after the Express score their first goal, fans will throw their Teddy Bears on the ice. All the stuffed animals are then donated to local groups for children. This game is also a fundraiser for Kirmac Cares for Kids.
On December 14th, we are welcoming all High School Students from the Tri-Cities for the High School Night. Last year the students made the building loud, can they be louder this year?
And to finish off the month on December 17th, the Express will be holding the now annual Score for Cancer Game which is a inaitive last year’s Captain Ryan Tattle started when he raised over $100,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society. The team will be wearing special jerseys again that will be auctioned off and various raffles throughout the game with all proceeds going towards Score for Cancer.
